Actress Hyeri, formerly of the group Girl's Day, has directly addressed the recent "belly fat controversy" surrounding her fan meeting outfit.

On a fan communication platform, Hyeri stated, "Actually, I like myself, but those watching might think it's unprofessional," adding, "​I don't know why one has to be thin to be considered professional," sharing her thoughts on the scrutiny of her appearance.

At the same time, she expressed her affection for her fans, saying, "Still, if Hyerumi (fandom name) wants it, I'll try my best. I'll exercise and be healthy," and conveyed the message, "​All of us are beautiful just as we are."
