Song Youngkyu's Final Work 'True Education' Released

The Netflix series 'The Bequeathed' is generating buzz, having secured the number one spot on domestic charts immediately upon its release. Amidst this, the final work of the late actor Song Young-gyu, who passed away last year, has been unveiled, drawing significant attention. 'The Bequeathed' depicts the story of the Teachers' Rights Protection Agency, established to protect the crumbling education system. Song Young-gyu played the role of Ryu Gwang-pil, a powerful presidential candidate and the father of a student perpetrator in the school violence incident. Ryu Gwang-pil attempts to cover up his son's wrongdoing using his influence, but ultimately faces ruin along with his son. Song Young-gyu's convincing portrayal of Ryu Gwang-pil was praised for enhancing the drama's immersion. 'The Bequeathed' was filmed last year, making it effectively his final work.

Song Young-gyu caused shock when he was found dead on August 4th, just ten days after facing controversy in July for drunk driving.
